Wasim and Waqar, the two great pacers, used to bowl for two hours and used to get tired. Imran on the other hand would ball all day long on the nets and keep going. Imran wasnt physically built or advantaged like Akram or Waqar, but the man made up for it by putting in more heart and effort. He was also marred by a shoulder injury and kept going despite the additional responsibility of captaining the side along with being a match saving batsman. He brought inspiration to Wasim and Waqar, who might I add were his finds. Overall, yep I agree with the high ranking hes been awarded with.
Re: ICC Best-Ever Ratings: IMRAN KHAN 3rd best-ever in 132 years of Test Cricket
No spock thats not correct .Imran was physically extremely fit and athletic. He didn't have muscle mass, but was wiry.
^ Agreed. Imran had a strong build, maybe not as muscular as Waqar but he had broad shoulders and nice pins (quoting one of his girlfriends). I believe he was even fitter than Wasim and Waqar
Also read Wasim Bari's comments about how much more reverse swing Imran Khan got (and that is very evident in this clip. Vishwanath left the ball thinking it was way off-side only to see his stumps shattered by an exceptional in-dipper) compared to the two W's

Abdul Qadir did come with revelation about why that swing Imran was able to get..
It's water under the bridge but that was anything but bowling skill in view of Qadir..

Allan Donald also specified why ''that '' should be legalised. So that proves that many top bowlers used/are using that trick.

Wasim was not his find, he came into the team while Imran was injured, while Waqar was his find.
I am proud that we produced three bowlers of such class in Pakistan, but I still stick to my view that Akram was the best of the three and I am talking in purely bowling terms.

HE claims ti shoudl be legalised and that means eh used it some leap of logc there..
When and if it gets legalized then we will accept it so far it was nt legalized and certain people still used it and even confessed it..

Re: ICC Best-Ever Ratings: IMRAN KHAN 3rd best-ever in 132 years of Test Cricket
^ When Pakistanis beat the crap out of the English team in 1992, mainly by Wasim and waqar, the whole English press could not take the defeat of their great team by these "Pakistanis" and cried ball tampering. When the same reverse swing was practiced by English bowlers it became an art. Jealousy leads to accusations, an art which is being displayed here as well.

You're right. Wasim was spotted by Miandad
And I maintain that Imran was THE best pacer we ever produced ==> Waqar ==> Wasim.
When Wasim and Waqar were both at the peak of their powers (the 1992 and 1996 series in England for instance) Waqar was easily the more destructive and lethal of the two. Most of the English collapses in those two series esp. were triggered by Waqar with his deadly reverse-swinging, toe-crushing deliveries and Wasim then joined the party. Hick, Lamb and Robin Smith were virtually clueless against his pace and swing. The mutual rivalry of Wasim and Waqar benefited both of them but Imran was the sole world-class pacer in our team from 1977-1988. Sarfraz was good but not quite in the same league as Imran. Imran's feat is greater IMO because he often had to carry the entire burden of pace bowling on his broad shoulders during that time with no decent pacer to give him good support from the other end just like for much of the 80s we were a one man batting line-up - Javed Miandad

^ I am proud of all three and no one in the sub continent comes close to them in bowling terms.

Imran was like a god to Qadir and Qadir w'd never have said something as foolish as that. Can you find the link
Even when Imran's class is so evidently clear to everyone (just watch the clip again......That was a tremendous spell of fast bowling, just great to watch) losers like yourself will continue their usu. rona dhona
Imran dismissed Gavaskar (who I rate more highly than Tendulkar in test cricket) 5 times in that series clean bowling him thrice. It takes some doing to dismiss a quality batsman like Gavaskar

Qadir did mention in 2004 series when prodigious reverse swing and swing was not available for pakistani bowlers that too many camera are following the ball..
You will have to give credit to Qadir about oen thin the guy is stright shooter..
God or no god Qadir himself was one of the great proponents of leg spin bowling so he has the stature to comment on imran khan
Re: ICC Best-Ever Ratings: IMRAN KHAN 3rd best-ever in 132 years of Test Cricket
^ Bhai you were asked to provide a link to prove that Abdul Qadir did say anything like that about Imran Khan. Otherwise your words can't be trusted just because you said it.
