i think PD has a point, as you interact with people you dont know online, the first thign that creates an impression is the choice of words. once you get to know a person or you are talking casually to some friend its okay.

PD is going to a top 5 MBA program (PS PD, you were below Kellogg this year) and i believe his focus in finance. He could serve as an excellent person to talk to for advise.

Instead of getting defensive, you may want to think about what he is saying. accepting criticism is not always easy, but I think he came in a sincere manner sharing with you how these things are perceived.
