We’re a big family here
cause sony sucks . They are trying to get rid of their PC division. The models which are not on sale may not have been updated for a while.
Waise, may I ask what do you intend to use them for?
If it is for basic stuff then you are fine, but from what I hear from acquaintances, the apple version of adobe has been left behind in updates by Adobe due to steve job's tiff with them some years back.
I did go for the Surface Pro2 to keep my backpack light for my Windows consuming pleasure. But the Acer S7 is another model that I'm really liking.
Another model that looks yummy is the Lenovo X1 Carbon. A bit on the pricey side but most Ultra-books are about that range.
I was in market 3 months back for a new laptop, but after the release of windows 8, I just quit windows altogether. It would have been nicer if Microsoft had released a windows to enhance windows 7 experience, but I'm really not liking the tile version of windows. Therefore, I ended up not buying a PC laptop and rather got myself a MacBook Pro 15". It has i7,2.66ghz, 750gb HDD and 8GB RAM..and I think Apple just bought me there. I dont think I can now ever go back to PC laptops. I'm just in love with how classy this laptop looks, its amazing trackpad and user friendly keyboard. It does take a while to kind of get used to the OS X operating system, but you do get the hang of it really fast.
Vaio, HP, Asus are nice brands, just that I'm not liking Win8 that the new laptops are coming with.
If you can understand win8 and want to buy Vaio, I would say go for it. It all boils down to what really appeals to you.
Oh, ok.. but windows is still keeping the tiles experience as well as the full windows apps that I'm not a big fan of. I think i'll wait to see what Microsoft comes up with the new Windows 9 or anything after Win8 or 8.1.
I think they might not go away from tiles. Thats their one experience they are trying to create across devices. They might give user the option to use the start menu and not having to run them as apps though.
