the word is zu-l-qarn-ain meaning:
zu = having
l = al = of
qarn = animal’s horn / lock of hair
ain = two
it means some one with two locks or two horns [of animals]
here, the significance of this word is that there was a king by this name which appears in Qur’aan.
this king built a wall to keep Gog and Magog out from attacking the people inside the wall. Gog and Magog are dog like creatures who one day will manage to come out billions in number and will wreck havoc…this event is one of the signs of qayaamat [Doom’s Day].
