What's the alternative? Sitting at home and waiting for her wedding day?
Lolz. What if there is nothing further to study in your particular area of interest? Should you just study for the heck of it? I think NOT :D
You can sit at home/office n study other aspects of life or gain knowledge thru other means as books n universities are not the only means of knowledge.

LOL! Well, I do agree that its possible to gain knowledge thru self-study.
BUT.....I can't think of that many areas where a person can get a Bachelor's degree in a subject and have absolutely 0 options for more formal studies in that particular area (at least not here in the U.S.).
Unfortunately not going by the certificates :D I'm only B.A honours. But according to my field i have the best degree available here in Pak. I want to study further but not just for the heck of getting the label of "highly educated".. so unless something in my area of interest gets available here in Pak, i shall wait :).
What subjects you studied? and why can't you find any postgraduate courses in Pakistan?

cuz there aren't any :) i want to study fashion n we dnt have postgraduate courses for the same. Actually most countries dnt BUT i cud have gone for the 4yr programme available here in Pak but i was wanting distinct courses like fashion critique or fashion journalism in particular.
that bachelors is not enough for a girl to get married to a nice & decent guy as a minimum education? ............... why always most of the guys want their future wives to be highly educated? ......what do u guys think should be the minimum education a girl should get?.......what about islamic education???? i mean most of the guys say we need educated girls ..... well most of the girls after marriage become housewives .............. islamic education has everything in it & nothing is greater than islamic education........ i m not against modern education & not saying that though but some guys want their future wives to be highly educated ....... if a girl did bachelors & a nice, decent & religious girl then i think thats fine afterall what she has to do after marriage lookafter house, husband & kids right??? .......& thats what she should be doing ( if her hubby is earning good)..... girls must be educated coz they can do job if needed at any stage of life & can raise her kids better but that can be done by having islamic education & a bachelors degree........... why want highly qualified girl?
there are 2 types:
first, they want highly educated becoz to move in society. . . society symbol
second, they want her to do job as well. . . due to high inflation all over the world. . .
5amra - I think it is a matter of personal preference, people must have different reasons. I would certainly prefer a highly educated lady because it shows intellect, ability and interest in learning (rather than being involved in family politics). This might not be the perfect gauge, but I don’t see a better measure.
Well if she did, perhaps she would have taken the extra “o” out. :roman:

wow, so you studied fashion, are you able to design and sew clothes or was it not the part of your degree? I'm just curious.
