The era around 30 years back… (Black and white zamana

When during the summer holidays in school, all my Khalas will come to stay at my Nani’s house in Khairpur, Sind, and my mom took us there too. One Khala came from Multan, one from Lahore. Then at the Nani’s house there would be the siblings of my 2 Mamo Jaans 
Nani’s house was in Khairpur , a BIG haveli kinda thing.. well not exactly a giant haveli, just a single storey house with about 6 or 7 rooms and a LARGE sehn or veranda or whatever … in the front.
The total kids in the house amounted to around 25 or 30 
and at dinner time (taken outside in the sehn) it would be like a goddamm primary school - with all the kids sitting in rows on the farsh, waiting for the Daal Chawal to be served 
3 or 4 kids assigned to one charpai - at sleep time
And every other day or so - we would go to some place as a jaloos 
I miss it…
At departure times it would be a heart tearing episode. When one of the party would leave for its destination, the whole jaloos would go to the railway station to see them off… promising to meet again next year

back in 80’s similar to what we used to do in summer vacations… gather in Meer Pur Khaas (sindh) at naani’s place… Two Khalas come from KhewRa (Punjab) with children and one maamoo’s children… it was used to be mango season and since it was meer pur khaas, so, you know… 
naani had bakraa bakri at that time and that water hand pump in the sehn:D where all of us nanhaY nanhaY bachaY used to take congregational Ashnaan in saRti huee dhoop 
sleeping out side in the galli on chaarpies

The hand pump in the sehn
and 5 or 6 nangay putangay bachhay in their chaddis taking turns at the handle and taking bath… in the saRi hui garmi
The best scene was trying to cover those 20 yards or so to get back to the shady area - and the feet would burn on the hot farash

not to metnion there were couple of khalaas already living in meer pur khaas and their children… we were used to be like atleast 30 bachaaz
