Keep ALT pressed then 0222 (in one go [on the numeric keyboard]) Þ Þ Þ
not the one’s at the top of the QWERTY keys..

Also check if NUMLOCK is on.. can give trouble on some keyboards. Numlock should be on.. and in XP… see if you have ENGLISH selected on the language bar..

do you get to see anything at all? Or does it just stay blank?
check the keyboard settings in XP..
