err what country allows media to stick its nose in the middle of an operation? media here had more access than pretty much any other country..wheer authorities essentially have a blackout.
correct! way better than Iraq coverage...but maybe it would be better if people know what exactly is going on there esp. like in hospitals..that way ppl will have less chances of misjudging, on the other hand it would be devastating to watch the dead bodies & etc.
Hospitals need to be sealed because there could be militants among those undergoing treatment and the security forces need to keep an eye for them without distraction from the media. At least that is what I think the reason is.
i hope each and every one of those crazy, brainwashed so-called molvis in lal masjid die, those *******s dragged in innocent kids into their patheitc excuse for jihad. let the army kill them and fulfill their dreams for "martyrdom". our country will be better off without them. thats how i hope it ends
Actually ths is basically a GOV failure ..they could handle the situation the way they need to be
Maulana Abdul Aziz has been arrested. Many people believe the way in which he was arrested does not match the actions of a person who preaches to others to sacrifice their lives for the cause.
“Aziz: This is all government propaganda. The night Maulana Abdul Aziz was arrested and brought to [state-run television] PTV, I had just finished a talk show and was on the way out with Ejazul Haq [minister for religious affairs] and the anchor of the program. I saw Maulana Aziz along with security officials. He hugged me, but only touched fingers when Ejaz tried to shake hands with him.
He immediately told me that he had been deceived. He said he was called by a senior official of an intelligence agency with whom he had been in touch for a long time. Since the official could not enter the mosque to meet him [to save his cover and identity] he asked Maulana Aziz to come to Aabpara police station [in walking distance of the mosque] and asked him to dress in a burqa to avoid being identified. [Aziz admitted that he and his brother Ghazi had done this many times before when they were declared wanted by the government]. But as soon as Maulana Aziz left the mosque he was arrested.”…

mushy is partly to blame for allowing the lal masjid mullahs to get away with so much for so long that it only emboldened them. that is what happens when you try to do or use anything/anyone to remain in power.
at least now i hope he eliminates all the Lal Masjid terrorists and then takes off his uniform…
ok now my question is *how do you wish to see Pakistan? A fundamentally religious state like present day Iran/Saudia Arabia or as it is now, where we can all enjoy our personal freedoms and continue to exercise our religious rights? *
I would hate to see Pakistan turning into Saudi or equally psycho Iran. I would like to see more of personal freedom in Pakistan but people should understand the concept of "your personal freedom ends where my nose begins".
