I have a fake Coach that I bought from Pakistan ... man I had no idea it was fake till my cousin pointed it out to me (I didnt even know its a designer bag lol) .. *thank God they didnt find it in the customs here otherwise I would have been fined heavly. *
and I saw some Guess original in Ebay .. thinking of getting it.
lolzz..here in usa we can bring any thing :p…i bought one DG fake handbag from pakistan…everyone liked it here..and my friends says u should have bought one for us
Almost all of my handbags are from Guess and they do last a long time eventhough I like to torture them a lot by stuffing them with anything and everything! :o
Another brand which I love is Michael Kors…I haven’t bought one yet but they look very stylish. I recently saw the following tote handbag and fell in love with it:
I am loving my cole haan. It is huge and carries all my stuff and is soooo super comfortable on my shoulders, despite having a ton of stuff inside. will post pix soon. I got it from Neiman Marcus
I was gonna say "wish I had a $400 budget for handbag" but then I thought, what the heck, I can have a budget of more than that if I want but I find way better uses for the money.
Exactly. I think of all the Coach bags i could have bought if I had just saved up....but u know what, first I'd rather spend the money elsewhere...and if I have to save up for something, its not gonna be a bag.
I love Aldo bags. People always compliment me for my bags. It seems every other girl has a coach bag - knock off or real.
Aldo bags are GORGEOUS....i love them...but I've had a few and they're just such crappy quality and htey're nowhere near worth their price.
And honestly, I don't see why anyone should be judged on whether they're wearing a real one or a knock-off. as long as it looks nice...whats the big deal.
So Pink'd Out promised to help me find the answer as to why people spend these kinds of dollars on a 'designer' purse at her party and oh boy, oh boy.....I sure did get my answer.
There were a number of ladies/girls there that were carrying totes twice their size. Not that they needed huge purses cause they were at a party.....so technically they only needed a few make-up items, keys and perhaps a cell phone. But sheesh!!!
The whole "quality" discussion took place there too and I'm afraid it was agreed there is no difference between the "quality" of the leather, lining, or workmanship between designer and unbranded bags.
It is nothing more than the "status" factor.
The whole "look at me, I belong to the group that a) knows about fashion labels and b) have enough money to buy them" attitude was clearly apparent.
And for the record.....my comments in this thread are not meant to pick on those of you that enjoy paying hundreds of dollars on handbags.......I just want you to take a few moments and question what you do.
I've been to Target and seen purses that don't belong to any prominent designer.....some I find attractive......some I don't. I used to wear this really cute white hobo from Target...took it to work with me........got a lot of compliments on it (got worn out now).
If I really really like something I'll get it whether it is under a big designer label or not. I've noticed that the quality and feel and overall look of designer purses is often better (just my observation). If I can afford it, I'll buy it. For me....even if I sport a designer purse....it's the overall look and feel of the material/leather that appealed to me. There doesn't always have to be a superficial reason behind the purchasing of products.
