Re: I made Chicken Karrahi..
You made very very nice roties! And the karahi as well.
Re: I made Chicken Karrahi..
That looks yummy.
I've noticed something, a lot of people put onions in their karhai gosht. Where I come from we dont use onions. Neither my moms side nor my dads side.
Is this a regional thing of using onions in karhai gosht?

Re: I made Chicken Karrahi..
i recently tried this recipe...turned out great BUT taste more like chicken salan...not chicken karhai.
Re: I made Chicken Karrahi..
Ingredients
Chicken, small pieces 2 medium sized onions, thinly sliced 2 medium sized tomatoes, diced 2 whole green chillies 8 garlic cloves, crushed garlic, chopped into thin long sticks (use about an inch long piece) 1/2 lemon - optional 2 tbsp tomato paste
as for spices, I honestly never measure anything I put in. I just know how much I need. I'll tell you what I used, you can use it according to taste: red chilli powder garam masala red paprika cumin ground coriander seeds black cardamom - 2 bay leaves - 2 black peppercorns salt to taste 1/2 cup oil
can u translate ur spices in urdu plz.....some of them i don't even know what the english word is....and u don't add haldi???
Re: I made Chicken Karrahi..
Cumin = zeera
Corriander see = sabut dhaynia
black cardemom = bari ilahichi or lal ilahichi
bay leaves = tez pat (probably)
red paprika = lal shimla mirch
