Poem Title: Shortly After Midnight

Shortly after midnight
into your room I go
And stand there gazing down at you
with eyes that love you so
Your head upon the pillow
your arms down at your side
Your lips in a faint smile
then next to you I slide

I kiss your eyelids softly
run fingers through your hair
I feel your breath upon me
do you know I'm there?
I put my arms around you
and hold you, oh so near
I whisper of my love for you
although you cannot hear

I cherish ev'ry moment as
I hold you close, my dear
For time goes by so quickly
and morning's almost near
Tho' you won't know I've been there
with you throughout the night
My love for you is ever close....
as darkness is to light

Poem Title: Letting Go Again

Letting go again,
closing my eyes
as you fade from
my arms.

Stepping back, turning away
feeling tears on my face
wash through my heart
like a winter storm
freezing my world
to ice.

The words,
'I LOVE YOU'
frozen in my heart
forever,
never on my lips
or in your ear
again.

I shiver
as the pain
reaches my soul,
catching my breath
in ripping
agony, hurry
go...

Retreating footsteps
pause..
closing doors
It's done....

A quivering sigh,
shoulders back,
head high, clear wet eyes,
mask in place,
I turn to face tomorrow

Without you......

Poem Title: Just to Love You

When we were little,
I would share my milk with you
before we took our naps;
...just so I could play with you.

When we were teens,
I listened as you talked about your boyfriends,
(and thought of us together);
...just to ease your mind.

When we grew older,
I helped you move into his house
(and wished you were going to mine);
...just to make you comfortable.

When you got married,
I gave my best friend away
(and kept my heart hid);
...just to see you happy.

As you lay there, so very sick,
I whisper how beautiful you are
(because it's still true);
...just to see you smile.

Poem Title: If I Were Her Lover

If I were her lover,
I'd wade through the clover
Over the fields before
The gate that leads to her door;
Over the meadows,
To wait, 'mid the shadows,
The shadows that circle her door,
For the heart of my heart and more.
And there in the clover
Close by her,
Over and over
I'd sigh her:
"Your eyes are as brown
As the Night's, looking down
On waters that sleep
With the moon in their deep" . . .
If I were her lover to sigh her.

Poem Title: Cute Girl.

You changed my world with a blink of an eye
That is something that I can not deny
You put my soul from worst to best
That is why I treasure you my dearest Marites

You just don't know what you have done for me
You even pushed me to the best that I can be
You really are an angel sent from above
To take care of me and shower with love

When I'm with you I will not cry even a single a tear
And your touch have chased away all of my fear
You have given me a life that I could live worthwhile
It is even better everytime you smile

It so magical those things you've made
To bring back my faith that almost fade
Now my life is a dream come true
It all began when I was loved by you

Now I have found what I am looking for
It's you and your love and nothing more
Co'z you have given me this feeling of contentment
In my life something I've never felt

I wish I could talk 'til the end of day
But now I'm running out of things to say
So I'll end by the line you already know
"I LOVE YOU" more than what I could show

Poem Title: Soul-mates.

Together for eternity.
And if love were life and beauty breath,
Then love would last beyond my death.

But eternity for me was you,
Your gentleness was all I knew.
And when death arrives with the last thrown sod,
I will have been blessed - for I touched the face of God.
