Taking a driving test in England is mostly all about luck from my experience.
My friend failed her driving test 14 times and literally hit depression because of it. Even she had news reporters wanting her interview. She wasn’t a bad driver but the tests are so stoopid in England and they fail you on the smallest, silliest things! The company makes too much money from doing this. On her 15th attempt at the end her examiner failed her again and she burst out crying and shouting at him! They give you a score sheet in the end with a pass or fail on it. She pulled out her 14 yellow failed sheets and threw them at him saying she didn’t want one more! He was so astonished and quickly checked all the failed papers! He couldn’t believe how many attempts she had tried and changed his mind, asking her to promise to not tell anyone what he would do next! She froze in horror and he gave her a new yellow sheet with a pass on it! Lol!
This is almost 10 years ago + when I was taking my driving test. I made so many stupid, careless mistakes in my driving test only because I was so nervous for some reason - the whole time my examiner was chatting on his phone and was in such a good mood that he passed me 1st time!
I reckon it is all to do with luck as you just can’t please those examiners! ![]()
