AJ yaar, these desi-mentality men don’t have any idea how much their wives hate them. They would refuse to clean up after themselves, never enter the kitchen, make the wife serve tea and water in front of guests, make her cook, clean and take care of the kids too. All the meanwhile just sit their big butt on a couch thinking they have everything in control.
These guys can do all this because their wives are more than likely financialy ‘dependent’ on them. I would like to know if these men would act the same way if their wives had careers of their own and were complete persons without them.
Yes Fg, those who are brought up with this typical mentality won’t care if the wife has a career of her own or not.

OK, it’s just past 8 and I am done with dishes, garbage is out the door, kitchen is sprinkling clean, lavander candle is lit on the counter that divides the kitchen from the family room, the house smells great. We both had baked talapia, carrots and corn bread (all done by her). She said she needs an hour for herself …so here I am.

Not neccessarily. A financially independent wife would be stupid to put up with a selfish hubby. But some people are stupid.
