I hate it when ...

fungy u chicken u r scared of the oil thats y u end up breaking the yoke and when u break the egg make sure the edge is narrow and not wide that way the split will be in a confined place

ps u i am shocked u dont know how to make an egg even i know how to do that :disgust:

Funguy: Awww…u don’t know how to break an egg.. hmmm…I am so disappointed…u almost had me impressed with you kitchen tactics

Waleed:

Everyone's suggesting you're afraid of oil, how in the world do you cook everything else then?

I make my eggs in butter, they come out beautiful. Some men just don't have the hands for delicate work, you maybe one of 'em.

I make my eggs in butter

Ahh, rock on sister!

I am not afraid of oil splatter. Eggs can break even in cold oil. :o

Anyway, the ratio of breakage is maybe 1 to every 6 which isn't that bad.

Hmmm...butter for frying eggs?. Sounds deliciously unhealthy. I only use Bertolli's Olive Oil in my kitchen. But I did buy some butter sticks for halwa last weekend. Maybe I should give it a try.

Hayaa..butter to fry eggs? Serious? :-O (I don't like eggs.) Does using butter improve the taste?

Funguy. Very cute.

Yup ceebs, you're not literally deep frying in butter, just use a spoonfull, which is still quite unhealthy I suppose, but nothing beats butter and yes it does taste better.

ajee, high five

IMO, butter is better because 1) it gives a unique salty taste to the eggs 2) it blends with the eggs natural yellow color 3) when it melts you know it's hot enough to put the eggs in.

You can also try margarine which is made from vegetable oil if you are too conscious of butter's fat contents but it just doesn't taste the same. Maybe you can find a butter tasting margarine.

Or you can always get off your butt and jog a little more :-P

There is a margarine spread which tastes like butter. It is appropriately named, " I can't believe it's NOT butter".

be gentle with the eggs ... if you are not slow and gentle while puring the egg on the pan, it will break with the touch on the pan.

OR

the cracked egg shell might break it before the egg yolk lands on the pan, for avoiding this ...choose the side which does not contain the sharp edges.

WHile watching Emirel Live on The Food Network, I noticed that he holds the egg in one hand and pinches a hole using the thumb. All is done with one hand. That's impressive. Can anyone here do that?. I am gonna try next time.

oh cool

Use fresh eggs, not old ones fungi. With fresh eggs the yolk stays nice and firm, with old eggs the yolk is flattish and tends to run. Please don't keep your eggs for long.

have u tasted that? im still considering whether to buy it/not
those cows in the ads are scary :halo:

:rotfl" Yarr even my 14 year old cousin can make an egg with out breakin the yoke. Some times the whole egg slips out of her hand but thts a different case.

And even i can make an fried egg and i am only 15 :nahnah: .

Try breaking the egg slowly and when one side of the egg is cooked turn it iver using a slicer or just pour some hot oil on to the help with the help of a spoon if u can t flip the egg over

Any way happy egg making. Practice makes perfect
