Looks better, much healthier...although in the before pic, ur hair seems wavy...and after u cut it, it's straighter so maybe that's y it looks neater in the after pic.

I have long hair too so i know how u feel about chopping off ur locks! It is a lot of work to take care of them...but urs isn't too short, so i'm sure u will grow it back quite quickly...just make sure u have trimmings regularly (even if it's 1/2"), that way u don't have so many rough ends etc...i wud never let them cut off 4" hehe, i get sad when they cut more than an inch or two off!
