Looks like Jamat-ud-dawa had really penetrated into the main stream Pakistani society in creating it's pawns of destruction. And above all, Pakistani establishment had allowed them to move freely.
We all understand that sub-continent has seen a "tit for tat politics" for decades, but isn't it a time that we all live freely in peace with each other. Pakistan, India, Afghanistan have to be each others neighbors forever, we can only have one of the two choices either to progress together in harmony or to die together in destruction.

What credibility do you have to say all this, are you doctor of indian brains ( thus out of practice) or this is revealed to you by some other friend of you.
There are good people and bad people in every country society, yes there is some problems in Pakistan, and we are working on them but they are nothing compare to yours, go and fix them but i guess they don't want you in the fixing procedure either... so
Please take it in positive manner and from right direction...
Ok, so i feel/see so much negativity around, in Pakistan. I do realise there is alot to be done, changed in Pakistan but we can only do that after we all get united and adopt these changes in our lives first before aiming for national changes. For example; being honest, abiding by the rules, merit, respect for all irrespective of their social statuses, etc.
Also, i believe since Pakistan is not going through very good times people are not happy associating themselves with it even if they belong to it. So first and the foremost thing is to bring that ownership back in ourselves. We don't disown our kids if they are going through a bad patc, infact we look after them all the more. Similiarly Pakistan is in need of us all the more now and its our duty to be there for our country which has given us so much. We will be able to do this only when we try and see the positive side and all the good we have as a nation.
For this purpose a group is made on facebook " I am Pakistan " by the very talented and intelligent men Faisal Quershi, and we would request you all to please join it. We need to be united in oder to bring about any change in Pakistan. And to let the world know we wont let them rule over us ever again.

The problem with pakistan is the jihadi outfits who are now waging war against the goverment itself. During 60's,70's and early 80's pakistan had the highest growth in the region . Now the growth is jeopardize beacuse of these jihadis.
I do now blame mushraaf for this. Yeh kabhie na kabhie hona hi tha. The monster they build over past 2 decade is now out of control.The sooner its overpowered the better it will be.
I am proud to be Pakistani - a nation that was created from nothing and struggled through its history to become a Muslim power through the grace of G-d, hard work, and the energy of its people. You guys should review our history. No one liked Pakistan back in 1947..the Brits were always in love with the Indians, Indians thought that we would collapse within a few years, Afghanistan voted against us, and we were isolated internationally. We went back to the basics and worked on building our nation, developing its resources, and stood up for ourselves. By respecting ourselves we earned the respect of the world.
We find ourselves in similar cross roads where we have to decide between our Pakistaniyat or the boot licking of the 'international community.' I say stop the hate, the violence..bring the extremists back into our fold. Lets launch a jihad of prosperity.. shut down LeT in earnest but make sure that Jamat u Dawa and other waqfs can provide the social services such food, health, and education to the poor, desititute, and the downtrodden. Our answers lie in our shared Islamic faith and identity, not under the latest diktats of Washington or London. Todays terrorists were yesterdays freedom fighters, so can we really on others to define right and wrong for us? Say no to violence but also don't let outsiders tell us what we should be doing either.
It is in these dark times that our faith and identity is tested. Instead of despairing we all need to talk about the positives of Pakistan and encourage others make the fatherland stronger.

thanks Maham, I am also sick of all the negativity surrounding Pakistan, but you know what we all do our part in keeping the real identity of Pakistan alive by representing it the way it deserves to be represented, forums such as these are a great platform to get the message across to the rest of the world
Living in the west, when I go out representing Pakistan, I wear the identity very proudly, I am where i am and what I am because of Pakistan, the opportunities, the values, the ideals, part of my very rich heritage which I will proudly pass on to my children.** By being peace-loving, law-abiding, hard-working individuals, wherever we are, we send people the msg, that this is the face of the real Pakistani Forget politics, just do your part!

Righto simplyme we should denounce as aspect of our religion as Muslims? I as a Muslim refuse to denounce any aspect of my religion sanctioned by the Almighty. Please convert for the sake of the rest of the Muslim community at large.
We should not denounced "jihad" but we should denounce the misuse of it by every tom dick and henry.

Guys, its high time we actually show through our actions that we are indeed proud to be pakistanis. I have yet to see anyone from here join up at the group. Believe you in me, it has nothing to do with me but just to show support and solidarity from our nation. The link i posted above is the article the indians wrote over this same group but twisted it a bit. Its high time we all get together and spread this group all over the net, on blogs, forums, etc so that it gets the maximum coverage it can and that the real purpose of this group be shown to the world.
