Song: KUCH DIN TO BASO MERI ANKHON MEIN
SUNG BY: GHULAM ALI

Kuch Din To Baso Meri Aankhon Mein
Phir Khawaab Agar Ho Jao To Kya
Koi Rang To Do Mere Chehray Ko
Phir Zakhm Agar Mehkao To Kya
Jab Ham Hi Na Mehkay Phir Sahab
Tum Baad-E-Saba Kehlao To Kya
Ik Aaiina Tha So Toot Gaya
Ab Khud Se Agar Sharmao To Kya
Duniya Bhi Wohi Aur Tum Bhi Wohi
Phir Tum Se Aas Lagao To Kya
Main Tanha Tha, Main Tanha Hoon
Tum Aao To Kya, Na Aao To Kya
Jab Dekhnay Wala Koi Bhi Nahin
Bujh Jao To Kya, Gehnao To Kya
Ik Wahem Hai Yeh Duniya Is Mein
Kuch Kho’o To Kya Aur Pao To Kya
Hai Yuun Bhi Ziyaan Aur Yuun Bhi Ziyaan
Jee Jao To Kya, Mar Jao To Kya

Re: I am in the mood for…

Well
what can i say
i am just in the mood
to close my eyes
think of laying on the clouds … that take me away to … her…

shaam se aankh mein nami si hai
aaj phir aapaki kami si hai
shaam se aankh

dafn kar do hamein ke saans mile
nabz kuchh der se thami si hai
aaj phir aapaki

vaqt rahataa nahin kahin tik kar
isaki aadat bhi aadami si hai
aaj phir aapaki

koyi rishtaa nahin rahaa phir bhi
ek tasalim laazami si hai
shaam se aankh

Re: I am in the mood for…

honto pe hansi aankhon mein nami, bheegi si hai mere dil ki jamin
sab kuchh haasil hai aaj magar, mitati hi nahi kyun teri kami
nindon mein sahi khwaabon mein sahi, baahon mein teri so lene de

woh chehara tera andaaj tera, baatein teri ehsaas tera
jo tere saath mein bite the, kuchh lahme hansi kuchh shaam-o-subah

Jadon jhanjhar teri chanke
Ni banh paloo de lad choori,
Toon kithe jaani 'en ban-than ke

Tere wargi kudi sidki,
Ishq wich hor nahin honi
Jo kache ghade te tar gai jhana wich kha gayi gote

Re: I am in the mood for…

Farhan Rais Khan is the son of Pakistan’s internationally famed sitarist Ustad Rais Khan. He belongs to the Mewati Gharana Farhan Rais recalls that his father began imparting his musical knowledge to him at the age of six. When he was only eight years old, he had the honour of performing with Ustad Zakir Hussain on the tabla at Nazrul Manch, Kolkata. Farhan has always had a musical mind and his inclination was towards playing the sitar. His father never compromised on the rigour and quality of his training. Farhan recalls how his father would wake him up at all kind of unearthly hours to learn various chords on the sitar. To this day his father does not release him from his practice until he has perfected every single chord and taan.

Farhan says that behind every successful person there is a lot of hard work and that success comes with time. He has great respect for his father’s work, which has been an inspiration not only for him but for many musicians in the Sub-continent. Ustad Rais Khan has been much more than a father for Farhan, he is also his teacher, and his main source of inspiration.

Farhan believes music should be made mandatory in schools, especially learning to play musical instrument. He feels that there is a clear distinction between a learned and an unlearned musician. Someone who has acquired classical training in either singing or playing an instrument will always be able to perform with greater ease, since their training, practice and understanding of music is so grounded. Classical musicians can also perform such diverse pieces of music because their foundation is so strong.

Farhan recounts how he enjoyed working at Coke Studio because it has such a unique approach to music. He really appreciates the quality of music being produced here and when he heard the initial track sent to him he was so excited to find that it was all produced locally in Pakistan.

Re: I am in the mood for…

Never heard poem of kabir :hmmm:

Re: I am in the mood for…

maybe u already searched but here is some info:

Kabīr (1440–1518)[1][2][3][4] was a mystic poet and sant of India, whose writings have greatly influenced the Bhakti movement. The name Kabir comes from Arabic al-Kabīr which means ‘The Great’ – the 37th name of God in Islam.
Apart from having an important influence on Sikhism, Kabir’s legacy is today carried forward by the Kabir Panth (“Path of Kabir”), a religious community that recognizes him as its founder and is one of the Sant Mat sects. Its members, known as Kabir panthis, are estimated to be around 9,600,000. They are spread over north and central India, as well as dispersed with the Indian diaspora across the world, up from 843,171 in the 1901 census.[5] His writings include Bijak, Sakhi Granth, Kabir Granthawali and Anurag Sagar.

Not much is known of Kabir’s birth parents, but it is known that he was brought up in a family of Muslim weavers. He was found by a Muslim weaver named Niru and his wife, Nima, in Lehartara, situated in Varanasi. Both Niru and Nima were very poor and illiterate.[7] They adopted the boy and taught him the weaver’s trade.
