Re: I am confused!
There is a girl I know, she is a Beautician but she does her job at her home. Her husband, I don’t remember but for sure has a job too.
She discusses her matters with me sometimes.. I know her from when she used to work at a Salon. I am almost an occasional visitor of that Salon.
This evening I recieved a text from her asking me have some services from her because she needs some amount so eagerly. I (because didn’t want to have services from her) refused her, saying don’t need at the moment, but again she replied and said, I will give you 40% off on the usual service charges, I need some money so badly, I recently shifted myself to the ground floor of our home and now it has been too expensive for us that me and my husband are unable to manage the expenses. BACKGROUND: she has 3 kids, she lives with her inlaws, she used to live in upper storey but now shifted to the ground floor. Her house is just ok. I know because I had have Henna Services from her once.
Now, I really didn’t want to have services from her so I again refused but I wanted to help her. I asked if I could lend her some money but she refused and said, I will take money only if I give you some services. (which I really don’t want to take for XYZ reasons).
I just realised, I have to pay Zakaat too. I thought to give her some amount as Zakaat but I am really confused, does she deserve it?? I am sorry I dont mean that.. Ok, what I mean is.. according to Shariyat.. who are those people who deserve Zakaat? Can she be included??
If yes, tell me so that I can help her that way!
Peace queen_24,
If you really would like to help her without getting any service, here what you do: Whatever amount you would like to give her put in aa blank envelop and drop it in her salon during the off hours. As for who Zakaat, to discuss who deserve it or and who are not, you may open a seperate thread.
