Really nice pics, Seema. It's the first time that pictures or the "ordinary" type have been posted.... pics of places, roads, seaside. I recognize some names but not many others. Some sights of the places I remember look different now.... times change, people change, places change. But thanks for posting. For those of us who don't live there anymore, you took us back home for a few seconds. It's good to see, in pictures, that a place we called home still exists.

As SS said in reply to you.... there's more this that meets the eye. She's correct. I have a friend who went to Karachi in January for a month. She was telling me the most unbelievable tales of Karachi. At the end, she said to me keh America meN to rehtay ho lekin if you want to see America then go to Karachi.
Khuda ki har cheez naimat hoti hai. Aur har cheez ki ziaadti zehar hoti hai. Paani bhi koi zaroorat say ziyada peeay to mar jaata hai.
Two years ago, all the churches and the mosques in our area held services for rain. I live in Texas, U.S.A. We had 100 degree tempretures for 90 days and not a day or rain. I understand Karachi doesn’t have much rain so it’s understandable when they go crazy over an afternoon’s rain. It is truly a gift from Allah for them and they rejoice.
