All of the above is soooo off the topic.. I don't know about your husband but it helps to know what your hubby's interests are.

Good (halal) things to do together is

  1. Cook
  2. Watch movies and discuss what you liked not liked
  3. Plan to travel somewhere
  4. Talk about your childhood
  5. Talk about what are hope and dreams
  6. What you want to do in next 5 years (buy a house, go to school, etc)
  7. A home renovation project
  8. go to or watch sporting events

And once you have kids you won't have any time to do any of this - Both of you will just be running around together to make sure the little bugger is fed, clean, happy and healthy

I will add some more to the list
Read books and discuss.
Go for a walk in the park.
Talk about your and his childhood , and teen age years. GS is good repository of topics to talk about.
Visit people and then come back and discuss what was good or bad about that visit.
Discuss next days menu.

Do not wait for him to start the conversation or ask questions , you can ask questions and then build the whole conversation around it.

Sometimes just hold hands and sit or just lay down in peace.
