The scandal is not that Haqqani wrote a memo to try save his bosses (the president and the prime minister) either at their command or on his own initiative. The fact to lament is that the president and prime minister were/are under threat from likes of Kayani and Pasha. What did the president and prime minister have to do with the OBL raid by USA? They are powerless to control their own military general, how were they supposed to stop USA military from going after OBL? Why did the military not do anything to resist the raid, if they felt strongly about it? Is this not shameful that the president and the prime minister were the punching bags and receipients of the wrath of the generals who were impotent against USA?
