Yaar jo Bhee hai, bundee phir bhee cha gaee hai. She really is a self made star. What impresses me the most is how she does a great job promoting herself and how she is able to hide her short comings like her terrible grammar! If you heard her speak, you wouldn't immediately guess how terrible her English is. In Pakistan Bad grammar translates to low level sarkaree schools which is prob what she attended but my point is, she does a great job hiding her background and selling herself as an educated cultured person from a great back ground. Remember her first interview in India ? We were all blown away coz she was great.

Um…trust me you dont wanna see the rest of the family…her two older sisters , brother and bhabhi are extremely paindoo…
the younger ones i guess are groomed by her

This is totally irrelevant, but is that a real name? Rather, is it common in Pakistan or is it one of those names that is quite “filmy” and is rarely used in real life? I’ve never heard that before and I rather like it.

The novel where the names are used is from the mid 1800s so it might be popular then. I’ve only know a couple of Asghars but never anyone with the feminine version of the name. I think we’ve phased out the feminized male names because my grandmother and all her sisters have male names with the i or a added but nothing like that after their generation.

Sughra and Kubra are the real names that are still followed in some families especially Shia families.

I think it was a tradition in UP / Delhi (where characters of this 19th century novel Mirat ul Uroos by Deputy Nazeer Ahmed belong) to make female names just adding a ‘choti ye’. Accordingly, they got Asghari from Asghar… and Akbari, Abbasi… Also this Bi-Jamalo seems to be a variation of Jamal

I feel like they all have the same syndrome at the end of the day…i represent my family, i come from a decent family…trying to show how they have english accents like they were born out of the country…being in denial about their own but pointing fingers at others as being vulgar and cheap yet going around doing same things…i think its to show they are different or innocent but from inside its all a drama to get ahead!!

but she does appear to be close to her family. both younger siblings are also in showbiz now. her mother and older sister have been with her on one of those morning shows.
