I know that some people have stopped doing it because they assumed it was a sunnah then later found out it isn't.
It is sunnah to be happy and to meet each other without doubts and without any fights that may have occurred previously. A sunnah doesnt ONLY means what and only was done by Hazrat Muhammad PBUH but also all that what can be derived from it having your NEEK NEYYAT.
