I think been a good example is a start. I have usually found that people need to be looking for God in the first place to be open to embracing Islam.
I used to go some really islamaphobic chat forums and try to change peoples opinions of Islam, it was very tiresome but I will never forget the day someone private messaged me for a link to an English Quran they could download to read. I don’t know if they reverted or not, but I like to think so lol.
Most islamaphobes have never read the Quran but felt they were in a position to critique the religion. My challenge was simple, don’t debate a subject you have no knowledge of, read the Quran first then talk about Islam.
The Quran is a miracle and in my opinion anybody that takes the time to read it can not deny that it is the word of God.

Some islamaphobes are so obsessive! On one of the forums I go to, there’s this user (who apparently is an ex-Muslim) who will not post in any thread that is not related to Islam. The website is actually an anime forum but it seems that the user’s reason for joining the forum is to argue with the Muslims and portray Islam in the worst light possible.
Most of the Islamaphobes on the forum are actually ex-Muslims.
