This is how I normally would do it: put the frozen bag of keema in a large bowl of water and poke holes all the bag. I leave it in the water for it to get defrosted, changing the water from time to time (as the blood seeps out of the bag). When the keema is defrosted, I removed it from the bag and transfer into a strainer and then use a large fork to squeeze out excess water and blood
