i think, it is not ok to pray inside car. i think if thing is belong to you then prayer ruling suggest not to pray.

but in case of aeroplan, you can pray.

i will suggest him to ask masla from qualified scholar.

And about that masla I will tell him to ask Alim because he knows that beth ke namaz hoti nahi ahi but if your namaz is going to be qaza then you can pray in a sitting position.
