i never said the generals are saints......but one thing....whenever the civilian governments end up in their usually sloppy mess a general comes and saves the day, and i guess u could add when the generals create their sloppy mess the democrats come save the day...
pakistan is doomed there is no one, no thing sincere enough .......:(
The generals arent saint themselves, they've looted alot of it themselves at the behest of civilian leaders.
yes Mr. Robert lets also shun those who are interfering in Pakistani politics and are involving in those activitiz which are against the national interests and against the nation's will. ehh?
No politician including Zardari, Nawaz, Qazi, Imran, Altaf, Wali and Fazlu has asked Army to step aside and do their job. In fact Qazi Sahab as “asked” army to play “its role”. All of these politicians (if you can call them politician) should have a courage to say to Kiyani “Excuse us, this is a political problem and we will solve it politically. You please dont try to “help” us in solving this”
Re: how to keep away pakistani army from power or government
Democracy will flourish, give it some time. it's a self-cleaning system. Selfish, insincere, and incompetent leaders will find themselves standing alone without any alliance with other parties, and with just handful of loyal blindfolded followers.

what happened to the Muslim league which created Pakistan, in India we continued with congress, it took us almost 40 years to find BJP now we have a two party system, Pakistan need a strong political movement which is supported by all Pakistan people across all cross sections, if there is a great people movement like what is happening right now and it topples the present government then it is actually good believe me it is the true democracy.

but my question is what keeps your army away from power?

who are army people, who are politicians, after all they are from the mass countrymen, Pakistan, as a country have to come to a common consensus, example in the mid 90's India was at the brink of coalition Politics which it has never seen for four and half decade but after initial trouble two leading political parties the Congress and BJP decided to embrace it, Pakistanis i believe first have to decide what they want to do with the country, i think Pakistan is to much into international politics, the way in is to become economically powerful and then enter into international affairs, one other thing is that Pakistan has never managed to accommodate and integrate the tribal people in the west, one solution could be getting Musharraf to join a political party or form a new one, even though it can be at time bad for India at least he will give you 20 years of Democracy and a chance because i believe the Pakistan army will listen to him.
