Re: how to keep 13 month old busy
I got some toddler crayons for my son and gave him some paper. He wasn't interested in colouring, but he was interested in eating his crayon. :(

aww sorry but it really is cute that the kids ate the crayons...hehe
well slowly show them what is possible....write on the paper and make lines, then help the child do the same...etc...repeat...and slowly they develop interest and wont be eating the crayons anymore...
or maybe even crayola sells these wide grip liquid markers and a paper set....that is a lot of fun too....
how about a choo choo train set....like the wooden one from Imaginarium.....they can pull the train along....or you can get electronic one that you control and it goes around n around....hmm

ira.. get her a play house.. the one that she can go in herself… dont have to buy the plastic one.. just buy the one made out of fabric that uc an set up and pull down easily… aariz LOVES his.. spends hours in it… give her some steel bartan from ikea and whatever else she likes to do.. and put it in the house… watch what she does…she may like it.. aariz cant sit in one place for more tahn 2 seconds but this house thing he loves… sadly since he is around 2 women.. i LOVES pots and pans so the ikea set he loves! keeps him away from out cabinets… what i did was empty teh bottm cabinet out and put his pots and pans there.. so he sees me opening cabinet to take somethign out.. he quickly goes and takes out his own pots and pans and starts to cook… cute.. and mission accomplished without pissing me off ![]()

my friend just enrolled her toddlers in gymnastics classes...
you can try to find a toddler gym or a park in your area, or perhaps if you have room in your backyard, a swing set, slide, etc...
