And love his family and consider them as your own. When you become an inseparable part of his family and form a good relationship with his mom and sisters, he will have more respect for you.

Why do you want to control your spouse...(which is what "wrapped around your finger" means)? How is that a healthy relationship and what does that say about the person or people that want that?
I've seen marriages where the wife is very domineering and the husband is like a frikin puppet.....and there is nothing at all attractive about either the wife's behavior nor the husband's. It's very off-putting.

So, figure out which language (or languages) says “love” to your hubby, and practice it. If he is the kind of person who feels loved when you listen to him with undivided attention and you share activities with him, then do that. He will feel loved, and will show you love.
Now, he may not necessarily speak love in the same language that means something to you, if for instance, shared activities don’t have the same import to you and what you really appreciate is physical affection or thoughtful gifts. In which case, have him go to the link above!

The best method that i have seen work is this.... Find some insecurity/animosity that your husband has with any of his family members/relatives. Now you need to spot that particular vulnerability and capitalise on it. Feed the husband info about how that person has been unjust and the rest of the family has been supporting that person instead of your husband. You take it slow and steady.....don't push it........you need to keep a workable relation with inlaws during this period to keep the flow of information running...so that you have some material to convince your husband that he really has been mistreated all his life.. You do that for some time.......and slowly, but surely, your husband's eyes will be opened ....... and he will realise that all his life he was basically being mistreated/cheated and ignored n all that.......and he will realise what a blessing his wife has been to open his eyes to this fact which he was blinded to all his wife.... This method has very high success rate.
