There should be 2 small black holes on either side of the coconut. Give small blows to each hole (with a hammer) and it should crack open. If you want to keep the milk also then put a pot underneath the coconut.

1.make a hole in the cocunut using a hand drill, then
2.put a dynamite stick in that hole.
3. light the faleeta of the dynamite stick

P. S: they sell the hand drills and dynamite sticks at the hardware stores for cracking the nuts who are hard to crack.
