I am my own personal trainer and have been since i was 10.... exercise and fitness is a way of life for me..... i've worked out everyday of my life, be it in the gym, through sports, outdoor activities, classes etc.... i feel strange if some hours have gone by and i feel that i haven't 'been active'.....
Build up to my wedding, i just carried on the way i was with my exercise regimens.... if not even more as i used exercising as a stress reliever from all the hungama that was going on around me!!!!

Ubtan works wonders - My mom used to make this paste for me using gram flour, turmeric and yogurt.. dont make it toooo fluidy a little thick is good.. rub onto ur face, arms but dont massage it until its dry.. using olive or mustard oil start rubbing your face gently.. the paste shud start coming off.. use every other day..
also make sure u go in for facials every month.. itll help clean ur pores and freshen up ur face.. also they give u massages etc which are amazing when ur under stress!
I went for glycolic peels aswell but after 2 treatments i realized they werent what i needed.. if ur in pakistan go to depilex for their whitening facial treatment.. its amazing.. works wonders and u can see a clear difference..

its like a cleanser/ face brightner.. also it helps with bleaching the color of your facial hair/arm hair if its not alot..
leave it on until it starts drying up a little.. do it atleast 2 times a week.. if thats too much once a week is fine tooo!
Here's my workout routine:
I workout once every other day, and I choose what section I want to focus on for that day. So for example, Monday I will work the heck out of my entire upper body and it will be sore all of monday, tuesday, and wednesday, so thats why on wednesday i'll work the heck out of my lower body and my lower body will be sore wed, thurs, friday, and then i'll do upper body again friday and by that time upper body will have recovered from soreness.
I've lost about 7 pounds so far, i've been working out since february. I do 20-30 mins on eliptical, its easy if you're working out with an iPod, just make sure you run through at least 5 songs, thats roughly 15 to 20 mins and the time flys by.
After the cardio warm up I grab the free weights and tone my arms with bicep and tricep curls, and then I do ab work for 5 solid minutes in intervals of 1 minute. So I'll do bicycle crunches for 60 seconds straight, then straight crunches for 60 secs, etc. and then make sure to stretch before and after your workout. When I get home I make sure to down a big glass of water with some lemon in it because it increases your metabolism and cleans out your system, and also give you glowing skin. Then I take a shower, have a big bowl of soup or some salad for lunch, and 1 chapati/roti for dinner with whatever salaan ammi made.
I workout in the morning cuz i tend to lose more weight when i work on an empty stomach. The days that I dont work out I eat a cup of yogurt with fruit in the morning. I'm getting married at the end of this year or sometiem next year but if I keep up this workout plan i'll be insha'Allah more toned and have a healthy weightloss cuz i'm giving myself plenty of time to lose 20ish pounds. If you try to lose 25 pounds in less than 6 months you will put your body in shock and you will start losing your hair and get stretch marks, etc. and might land yourself in the hospital.
My advice is to just exercise for the sake of being healthy and you'll look glowing on your wedding day as opposed to sickly thin. Plus men like a little meat on the bones anyway, i'm sure your hubby will like you just the way you are Nadz =)

A UK size 14 is actually a US size 10. 10 is like a US size 6.

Yes but if you lose that much weigt healthily...then you wont lose hair or anuything? like if i lost 2lbs a week which is healthy and recommended i could lose 30lbs in 16 weeks and what if your really overwieght...then losing that much in that time is not bad is it?I THINK you lose hair and get crap skin if you crash diet...and dnt eat nothing ......otherwise healthily dieitng and exc will be ok>

And yes for really obese people they lose lots of weight fast but thats because of how big they are, you arent like that at all. And the whole point was that if you lose it in a healthy way your body will not go into shock, and trying to lose that much weight in a few weeks, rather than many months is very unhealthy. Stick to going slow and your body will adjust properly.

i am....ok maybe im not as huge as i think but im almost 3 stone overwieght and if i lsoe 3 stone il be still 6 to 7lbs over ideal weight....i dnt look it alot of people are surprised i am. but i am.....almost 3 and half stone overweight..so what should be my weight loss in the first few weeks....am i big enough to lose more initially, i hear you lose 3 to 4lbs in the first month...and then it slows OR you lose more weight the heaveir you are and then nearer your ideal weight, lim,e when your a stone away it slows down to 1 to 2lbs a week...

Well you shouldn't go by what you "think" your ideal weight is because we can all be wrong in our guessing. The best way is to check your BMI body mass index. So you do that by getting your exact height and your exact weight and then seeing where you are on the chart health wise. You want to aim to be in the healthy range. Just google "BMI Chart" and check on the images section, it should be fairly easy to find.
After initial fat loss it does become harder to work it off the closer you are to your ideal weight, thats why you should keep changing up your exercise pattern so that your body doesnt get used to the same type of routine. So if you're used to hitting the gym and working out every other day, try dancing or yoga on the days that you're not going to the gym, it'll keep your body guessing and it'll give you a different challenge. Best of luck, remember aim for healthy, not thin.

i lost about 15 lbs before mine. i started working out in april and had lost most of it by my wedding on august 5th. the key is to eat less (portion control), eat better (LOTS of veggies, lean meat, and water), and work out as much as possible. push yourself, if you have to- i was working out 5 days a week- 45 minutes of cardio, followed by 20 minutes of weights. and if you can, work out early in the morning. for me, that meant being extra careful when eating during the day- i knew i'd worked my ass off and i knew i needed to keep it up, so i was choosing better meal options and being really careful with making sure i drank enough water. my skin also looked amazing! yay!
one of my favourite lunches was this salad i made - i don't like leafy salads and i like a lot of crunch- so i'd chop up an apple into bite-sized pieces, add in half a sliced cucumber- nice chunky slices, throw in a chopped green pepper (delicious and juicy), and add in a handful of cherry tomatoes. you don't even need dressing on this one because all the ingredients have their own flavour. and if i wanted to be extra schmancy, i'd add in some cubed cheese. deeelicious!
