Re: How much Islamic knowledge do you expect from your spouse/potential ?

Desis and assumptions are inseparable. And when you differ with the holiers, it turns into gossips

Re: How much Islamic knowledge do you expect from your spouse/potential ?

Okay…but get ready for this…I would not get married to simply “smash” someone. Hooking up with someone with no strings is something that can be done easily for me because it is without any real commitment so it is not like I would buy a house and move in with that person. But if I find someone that is worth being committed to then I would want to marry them.

Re: How much Islamic knowledge do you expect from your spouse/potential ?

It depends on your own level of religiousness I believe

I do expect him to be somewhat practicing, aware and knowledgeable though

Faith in the oneness of God.
Follows the five pillars the best he can.
Should have a growth mindset in terms of improving spirituality over time and having an ambitious attitude to learn and implement those things in life.

Me and my wife both Alhamdulli’lah know basics of Islam and try our best to follow what we can. Both of us are not super religious anyway..

I always wanted a man who is capable to show humanity in any situation. Carrying only Islamic knowledge doesnt make you a great muslim (learned from my bitter experience). My husband is not a religious person but he respects people. He is kind and gentle to me and my daughter. Thats what I required.

Respect for other human being.

does that count Islamic?

^ Practice what you preach.

Expecting islamic knowledge means zero chances of converting someone into islam and marrying them. It should be other way around. As long as they possess the ability to understand and practice, thats all should be needed, in my humble opinion
