Re: How much do you give?
On my wedding I also received some $25 gifts from entire families.
I dont think its cheap...they came, gave a gift, were happy for me and thats more than enough.

Re: How much do you give?
I guess that's where the cash gift gets tricky. $25 will always be seen as one of the smaller gifts. But if giving an item, it becomes about giving something substantive and you remember the gift-giver when you use it.
Re: How much do you give?
ugh whats wrong iwth reciprocating the exact same amount?
why do we have to "one up" someone by giving them more than they gave us?!
Re: How much do you give?
^ do we?
Re: How much do you give?
It depends on the person.I would say anything between $50-$500.
We have given $50 to someone a few years ago...he was my husband's friend's friend...
A close friend of his got $200.
My sister got more than that ,obviously.
If someone gave me $25 dollars...hmmm...I wouldn't say that I'd feel insulted...but there have been times (not a wedding though) when people have given such gifts..when they themselves have received way better ones...it doesn't look nice IMO,but I don't care that much...maybe I will give a thought what I am giving them the next time...:D
