Muzna yaar
I had the hardest time responding to this. Every time I tried…I'd stop. I didn't realize speaking about my own funeral would be so hard.
I don't expect anyone would come but I do hope they would…not for me but for my family and friends. I realize that a funeral is not for the person who died…other than the salat janaza and duah for them but often more for the survivor's comfort.
I would hope that those that came, would be able to offer solace to my loved ones.
Dear Muzna,
The best way to go is quickly & quietly without fanfare or bother to others . I intend to look into a pre-arranged Islamic funeral with specifications others be notified a week after I am dead & burried.
Regards,
Abdulmalick
As muzna said, it is rather interesting to note that people dont talk about death.... it is after all the only inevitable thing that is going to happen in ones life no matter what...
personally , if i have the option, i would ask for a quiet funeral and ask everyone to leave smiling.... and go on with lives....

yes that would be good... but people should not hang onto it for long.,.. as it only reminds them more of the past...
