Alhamdulillah, i've never actually eaten pork. Came very close to eating it.
I had a friend bring food for everyone during lunch cuz he was about to start his shift, so he kinda mixed up the order and brought me a sub with bacon in it (BLT i'm assuming), and just before i unwrapped it, it dawned on me to just ask him what kind it was and he's like 'Ohhhh that's not urs...'. Just in time too.
oh acha... the Sikhs I know I guess are a bit more strict bcoz they dont go near the stuff.
waise its funny how some ppl in pakistan react to the word… they refer to it as “woh cheez” lol, I was even told that your namaz is rejected for 40 days for everytime u mention the word
Like i said before.... desis DO have a weird obsession with pork. If you dont want to eat it fine, but whats the logic behind even censoring the word??? Its really immature and childish. On a kinda funny note, my nephew got a piggy bank and matching cookie jar as an xmas gift from a relative....his moms hid the cookie jar cz she knws my parents will dsiapprove :D
Oh wow, then we should just skip the part while reading hadith/quran and rather say something like "blank" :)
i know Quran did mention its name at several places but its mentioning over there is also not some respectable granted either.
i dont feel comfortable so i dont write its name ...hope its satisfying...otherwise as i skip its name, you are also welcome to skip my those **** related posts :)
its haram so i dont even wana dirty my words by writing its name :) or its meats name :)...

Zobie, you are sweet, but if just mentioning that word would dirty your mouth or mind, then it would not have been used in our Holy book or cited by the Prophet (PBUH) himself. It's a reality in life and as muslims, we must learn to exercise control over what is forbidden.
Of course, staying away from it entirely, if possible, is the best option.
