Some people call themself non-desi just because they were born out of their hometown.

dunno never really met such desis.
I did meet someone who said he was european, and when i asked which country he said Israel. I was ocnfused for a minute and thought that tectonic plate shifting may have caused somethign overnigth that I did not hear about, but I checked the news and Israel was still there smack dab in the middle of all em arabs.

from my understanding afghan's are not considered "desi"...people from pak, india, and bangladesh are considered desi.
