naah not fluently…did a GCSE and a post-GCSE extra-curricular thing…would have taken it further…but it was a bit of a useless one 2 be honest…had it been french or spanish, wudve taken it further!..mightve even gone abroad for a yr out in spain/france/latin america!..but back 2 ur question…no not fluently…just bits and bats!:halo:

Sorry about your ignorance. Chinese government now refers to putonghua (one of the many names for their language) as Chinese. Cantonese is called guandonghua and in fact is not spoken widely in China. Cantonese is spoken mostly in Hongkong and some southern provinces of China. It is now universally accepted that Chinese refers to Mandarin or putonghua. It is also called Zhongwen. Hey I speak the language and you are teaching me what it is called?
