PS: i didnt know sharing/not sharing recipe was a prob…i mean :halo: we all have the internet…as long as i know wht the dish is called..i can find the recipe and do a few trials and errors and get teh exact thing i like..which might even be better than wht the other person made…but i hv never had a situation where i asked for a recipe and someone didnt share the right thing…or someoen asked me teh recipe and i didnt share the right thing …

And you would still give them the recipe? why oh why oh why … I say you tell them to add anardana powder four tablespoons in the dish that will cure their aankh and moo ka expression ..

2 - depending on who it is. Otherwise I'll say I give to them, but unless they chase me for it I won't share. As I hate people taking my recipies and never giving any in return, and b taking the credit.

Some of the recipies I use have been in the family years, and are my grandmother's recipie. So I'm very careful who get's those recipies.

If I really don't want to share a recipe (which isn't often) I'll say, whenever you want to eat it, tell me and I'll cook it for you.

I had one lady who's husband loved a cake I baked. She asked for the recipe, and I had every intention of giving it to her, but it was just a manic time for me so didn't get around to it straightaway. She kept phoning my mum asking her to get the recipe from me, or to tell her the source of the recipie which book/site. She must have phone about 5 times. A week later I saw her but forgot to take the recipe, although I'd already printed it, and she really bugged me about it.

So thinking it must be urgent, I sent her the recipe the same night. Next day I had a reply saying thanks I'll make it in a few weeks and will tell you how it turns out.

So why bug me for it, like the world is going to end if your not making it soon?

my wife has dared me to tell secret hiding place to anyone where she hides he recipes :D

She would tell the recipe by herself if someone asks but she says that she would not let people have un-restricted access to recipes she has gathered over last 15 years she is cooking.

I am normally 2, sometimes one and I hate being like that, but I’m nice, what can I do?? I would love to be a 3 or 5, but I would be haunted by my caring nature. Although I know of many people who do number 3, and I don’t know how they sleep at night

I'd share recipes in a heartbeat because let's face it... Im usually using someone else's recipe. If no one shared, I would be a terrible cook

and i hate people that dont give you a recipe in detail..i feel like given them a thappar

I get so happy if someone likes my cooking.. I make sure they leave my house iwth the recipe :D

I’m generally #2 but when people start being sneaky and very protective of their recipes, it gets annoying and I won’t share.
