Depends upon who the joke is coming from.

Depends upon the content of the joke....crude or tactless is not funny.

Also depends upon the **frequency **of the joke....(if it's repeated a few times....it loses it's humor and light-heartedness...and can even become offensive).

I'm like Jekyll n Hyde when it comes to jokes. There are days when I can take a joke and joke back with the person. There are days when I'll be annoyed with the joke but I won't say anything to the person. And there are times when I'll get offended and will confront the person.

I used to get so mad at my hubby’s “comedy” as he calls it at first (first year of marriage) but now I’m used to it… so I laugh along with him… you’ll learn

As long the jokes are purely about me, and as BarbieQ said depends who it comes from I’ll take whatever comes my way, and if one gets offended by a joke despite warning the joker to cut it out (i.e. friends sometimes..) then its good to come up with something even more insulting, that’d button up the other person!

Seriously that was very rude and not at all a joke that should be cracked at a kid by an adult. I dont think that it means you are bad in taking jokes, that was a bad joke.

I would relate something to it. I developed a phobia of knives since i was imagining the scene a lot. It still is there but its not very bad. THough i remember the time when i would flinch at the thought of knife just cutting my finger. This time i was watching Aalim online, and the Dr. sahab happened to be standing at a roof examining something. When i realized he was inspecting the place where a maniac had slaughtered three of his daughters, the next moment i was running outwards shouting with hands on my ears (didnt want to listen any more of what he was saying). Poor moi.

My man loves to joke abt stupid things too that involves another girl…which is only funny if we are face to face…but I dnt find it funny when he does it over the phone
