Two things I would like to say.
- You answered your own question. "What do those people who do not work do? Read Torah. Despite the fact that they have no worry of not being able to feed themselves or their children if they did not work, they still prefer to read Torah. That’s a recipe to a worry-free life… rememberence of God in any way. They say if you just make dua in your heart, even that is worship of God but tell me what do the majority of Pakistani people who do not work do in their free time? Despite knowing that they do not have enough to feed themselves or their children, they dance to bollysh!t as that’s more important to them. Even those struggling to survive, bollysh!t dancin’ / partying / drinking / drugs are more important in their lives than anything else.
And I do not know what kind of social development burqa suggested but I can recall what he had suggested as economic development was that make Pakistan’s economy gorilla strong that despite the corruption of officials / leaders (because no society 100% corruption free), it would still not collapse like it is collapsing presently. If older governments had concentrated on making Pakistan what it deserves to be & has all the resources to be ( http://www.paklinks.com/gs/7232970-post1.html ), Pakistan’s economy would have become gorilla strong by now & some corruption here & there would not have brought the economy on the brink of doom & forced every individual to adopt to immoral ways to earn basic necessities of life. That’s what communism encourages which burqa is against.
When economy is strong, there is no need or justification for any nation to borrow money in the form of loans. No loans means no paying back interests.
The poorer economy has brought more poverty to Pakistani people & rising prices to justify borrowing of loans from IMF is an ‘assured’ technique towards further economical doom. All that inspite of Pakistan having (quoting from ahoo’s thread):
- 2nd largest salt mines
- 5th largest gold mine
- 5th largest coal reserves
- 7th largest copper mines
- 2nd largest dam
- 3 nuclear reactors
- 5 rivers
- 7TH largest rice producer
- 8th largest wheat producer
Besides, burqa is a patriotic Pakistani, maybe a slightly misled or cautious.
