Someone mentioned, can talk before marriage .. even then Islam has rules .. Islam teaches that if you do want to discuss your future with the possible future partner then you MUST have a family member(s) present and It does not mean ..MSN or going out for coffee nor does it mean that you o with your family to meet the possible candidate and you two sneak off to their bedroom just so u can get to know each other .. I am being blunt .. but am just covering as many possible excuses ppl come out with.

I don’t understand what the beef is with MSN (or texts, whatever). Technology has given us a way to communicate with a prospective partner in a safe and halal way, you’re not in a room alone and there is no risk of things going to the next level. If anything, this should be encouraged. It certainly beats having coffee with your prospect with her mum sitting beside her.
