i think we must be the only family in the world who calls it balaai and not malaai.

also, ew. chocolate chip cookies and balaai?? noooo. balaaai goes best with freshly made parathas and jam. mmm…

I think baalaai is Urdu and malaai is Punjabi.

Malaai with shukkur on top eaten with paraatha is delicious.
Unfortunately, natural malaai is not an option in the West. Losers !
Miss the days when I used to steal malaai in all stages (thin membrane to thick) from the daigchi of home boiled milk.
