In 2007..Searching for clothes/kapray, I found the wedding forum…I was just a silent lurker , and then promptly forgot about it until 2010-11, when I became fascinated with life1 and the ramblings of a certain guppy whose posts compeled me to sign up so that I could engage in his circular logic…and the rest is history

Googling bridal outfits and came across here… have been lurking on the forum for a few weeks, and finally decided to make an account today

In the year 2000 or 2001 I think. High school.

Back then internet was limited for Pakistani stuff. This was one of the few places that posted exclusively about pakistani showbiz. I used to write reviews for bands and their albums and also wrote drama reviews for other websites at the time. Then found I could write here without some website’s boss sending me assignments and deadlines. Also got into the fashion forum. I think I was more into the photography and the drama behind the pictures than the actual dresses. Old photographers were more theatrical. Wrote reviews for music videos too.

Dunno. Then got into the politics forum for a while. Then my GPA fell when I became a mod. Anyway still here.

In 2012, I was googling some Pakistani kapray and came across Gupshup. I was a silent reader for a while and then eventually joined. This site also introduced me to Sanaulla.

Came across GupShup years ago (my memory remembers events…not years, but I would guess in the 2000s) thought the name was funny. I’m pretty sure I ended up asking someone what it meant (not my parents for fear it was something bad). Saw roman Urdu text and ran away. Reconnected recently with an old friend from high school who back in high school used to push me to speak in Urdu…I was too shy. He went on and on with stories about life in Pakistan and I was curious what I missed out on. Joined G/S, because the name was distinct and stuck in my memory, in hopes to learn more! So here I am!
