yep agreed… that is why i said in my post that umpires cannot do spot fixing but they are the best contenders for match fixing…remember biggest money is on result of the match … spot fixing is small money wise as it is easy to do…and yes an umpire cannot guarantee the result of the match but that is true abt players as well…players cant guarantee it either… as I think of it, it is easy for umpires to change the complexion of the game especially in ODIs and T20s than players…players have to do so much to deliver…
anyway, as these thoughts came across my mind, I am so proud of umpire fraternity…not even one single incidence in last 30 years when so much mess was going on and it is still going on…hats off to them!
