praet, are u mad? Saree looks beautiful if on the right body.
1200 is a bit too much to spend IMHO. Coz if I wear a certain fancy piece in a party or a get together, I try not to repeat it ever in front of anyone present there.
But people..do buy designer clothes you can hardly afford, us fashion designers need to eat twice a day. :p
Sari's are very elegant and look amazing one the right person.
I'd never spend that much on a sari. Not my own money and sure as hell not someone else's money.

lol no it dont :D
a shalwar kameez or lenga is wayyyyyyy better, :o
walking with sari is like seeing a pinguin walk :)
little little steps, and verry uneasy aswell, with the chaddar on the arms all the time :D
Ihave a friend who buys designer clothes from Pakistan costing her anywhere from $1000.00 to $1500.00 per outfit. She talks about how it is too expensive and but still buys one or two everytime she goes back and she goes back 2/3 times a year. Boohoo.
I wore a 130 quid sari on my bros bharat and that was the most expensive thing that happened to me. 1300 is a plain waste UNLESS its your wedding. I would defo spend more than that amount on a wedding lehnga…although i didn’t
I personally think it's worth payin about a grand for a nice outfit..ONLY if the occasion is somethin like your bros/sistaz wedding! I work and earn my own money but hey i'm also a big spender, my mamoo got married and I paid one grand for a fishtail skirt from Daminis..Its so lush! These kinds of things you can keep forever!
Depends on the sari and how much money you have to throw away. The occassion matters too.
Mehnaz, 5 quid is just not right. You didn't buy it at Venison's did you? Please don't wear it unless you show it to me first. You and me need to shop for saris together. ;)
Daminis is over-priced. You can usually find the same design in another store either on Green Street or at Wembley.
