Personally, I just think that she’s being idealistic and naive. Just because her family says that they’ve accepted the choices doesn’t mean everything is back to normal. There is a difference between just saying that they’ve accepted them in order to make her feel better, and their actually accepting the choices in their hearts.

Frankly, I think her family hasn’t fully dealt with choices she made yet. They are just pretending that they have in order to make things a little less awkward. They DO want to try to accept them, but it will take time.
