I taught my 2 yo to help me put the socks in the bin at the bottom of the closet.She did it perfectly and I was so happy.
Now her favorite thing to do is to take them all out and leave some under the bed or in the kitchen or anywhere else I cannot think about.I spend so much time looking for missing socks.

my 2 year old puts things back in place, puts dirty clothes in washing, tidy up toys and their own mess time, puts own plate on kitchen counter after eating, turns off lamps , puts little bits of own rubbish in bin....
start them young and build it up, it teaches responsibility and independence...
