We studied this in Psychology once and whilst pretty girls do get treated better, tend to be more popular at school etc if the girl is considered too pretty that tends to (obviously) rub up other girls the wrong way, they feel threatened etc and it could become a ‘disadvantage’ in a lot of ways - inc in later life going for a job where ur being judged by a panel of other women:
**Good looking women are twice as likely to be turned down for a job interview than unattractive ones, claims a study. And female staff in HR departments jealous of potential rivals could be the reason why, researchers believe.
