I suspect the same. There had to be other factors at play with the nurse.
The hospital claims to not have disciplined her.
The only other thing that could have been at play might be bullying at work…maybe?

CANBERRA (Reuters) - The Australian radio station behind a prank call to a British hospital will donate its advertising revenue until the end of the year to a fund for the family of the nurse who apparently took her own life after the stunt, the company said on Tuesday.
Southern Cross Austereo, parent company ofSydney radio station 2Day FM, said it would donate all advertising revenue, with a minimum contribution of A$500,000 ($525,000), to a memorial fund for the nurse, Jacintha Saldanha, who answered the telephone at the hospital treating Prince William’s pregnant wife, Kate.
The company has suspended the Sydney-based announcers,Mel Greig and Michael Christian, scrapped their “Hot 30” program and suspended advertising on the station in the wake of the Saldanha’s death. Southern Cross said it would resume advertising on its station from Thursday.
“It is a terrible tragedy and our thoughts continue to be with the family,” Southern Cross Chief Executive Officer Rhys Holleran said in a statement.
“We hope that by contributing to a memorial fund we can help to provide the Saldanha family with the support they need at this very difficult time.”

could be a possibility. Nursing as a career does have a relatively high suicide and depression rate. And given the nature of nursing, the things they see and what they have to put up with its not hard to see why. They arent given the best working conditions. My cousin who is a nurse has told me some horror stories

Just came in the news today that she left a suicide note, however no one knows yet what it said.

This person is from the same town that I come from. It is so sad. She leaves behind an aged mother who is yet to come to terms with the tragedy.

I dont get how can someone with a loving family, kids, old aged mother commit suicide.
She could have just quit the job instead of taking her own life.. that everyone would have forgotten in a few days.

current news is that she left behind three individual notes…probably one for each: husband, son and daughter.
and although she was found hanging in the nurse’s quarters she did have signs of trauma on her wrists…perhaps a failed attempt?
they are now looking into emails etc…
