i think the best place to go would be to Makkah and madinah, i went last year to do umrah and i thought when i get married this is one of the first places that i will go to with y hubby inshAllah
its so beautiful and peaceful, you just dont want to leave
what better place to spend with your spouse and also a means to purify yourself.....:)

minah_pa i thought marriage wasnt all about sex ??? Imagine all of your sins being washed away and alot of ppl come back from umrah and hajj changed(for the better), wat else can be a better way to start ur new life? Its not like you cant love someone or be with them at a holy place..its just eerrrmmm u cant be like u know doing it

But I thought it was a time to be focusing on the person you are going to be spending the rest of your life with.

its not as if you will be in the masjid 24/7, there are so many beautiful places you can just there wuth your beloved and focus on the two of you, what better place to do it…and madinah is just as wonderful…sigh my heart pines to be there so much!

Honeymoon is a must after a marriage.........It really doesn't have to be a very fancy place..just so you have some time together..........you and your loved one and thats it!!!! The memories will stay with you forever :)

it is important because it may be the only time when the couple is alone and in this time they can get to know eachother better and come closer :p

No, PCG, that's not what I meant, but it is a time to learn about the person you will be sharing intimate stuff with (not talking sex, talking everything) 24/7, hopefully for the rest of your life. Not worshipping.

one of my friends told me that going on a honeymoon forces you and your spouse to really open up because you spend so much time alone and you have to keep the communication going so you end up sharing childhood stories, etc.
